If your workforce use heavy lifting equipment on a daily basis, ensuring safe working practices are upheld at all times is vital. Not only does this help prevent damage through improper use that could weaken the structural integrity of the system, but it also helps guarantee the safety of your staff.
Pelloby offer gantry, overhead & jib crane training courses to guide your staff towards LOLER and PUWER recommended best working practices.
Jib, overhead and gantry crane safety training
Our crane training courses are carried out at your premises by an experienced member of our service department at a date and time chosen by you.
Each course helps guarantee your team know how to operate the cranes at your site properly and confidently to ensure the safety of all staff members and avoid crane accidents going forwards which are not only disruptive but can be bad for the reputation of your business.
Overhead crane operator training courses
Our ‘Safe Use Of Overhead Cranes and Basic Slinging Technique’ training course consists of a mixture of classroom and hands on learning to give your staff both a theoretical and practical knowledge of safe working practices. We can also provide below the hook training for jib and portal/gantry cranes. NOTE: We do not offer ‘train the trainer’ courses.
- Our novice crane training courses are aimed at those with little or no experience of working with cranes. They are usually offered alongside your order of a new Pelloby crane, but we can also carry these out when you want to train new staff members on an existing lifting system.
- Our refresher crane training courses are designed to top-up existing knowledge about crane operation and are a great way to ensure the ongoing competence of your workforce. The Pelloby service department advises that all staff are retrained on the safe use of workplace cranes at least every three years.
