The Pelloby crane service team are dedicated to helping you get the maximum use out of your cranes.
Whether your system was originally a Pelloby product or from another manufacturer, we provide preventative maintenance contracts, safety inspections/thorough examinations and breakdown support for when things go wrong – all aimed at increasing the lifespan of your lifting equipment.
However due to the nature of changing day-to-day operations, you may find that the position of a crane within your workplace could mean it is not always fully utilised – and that’s when crane refurbishment or crane modernisation work can give these lifting systems a new lease of life.
A great example of this is a recent crane refurbishment project we carried out at a UK leading window specialist, Anglian Home Improvements.
One section of their major manufacturing facility in Norfolk utilised a Pelloby top running single girder three tonne overhead crane solution for several years. However, due to ongoing alterations in workflow processes aimed at streamlining production output, crane access in this part of the building eventually became redundant.
When lifting access was later required for a separate application located nearby within the same building, Pelloby were able to provide a cost-cutting crane refurbishment solution by moving the existing girder beam and combining it with new gantry steelwork.
By utilising the disused beam in this way, the team at Anglian Home Improvements not only ended up with a lifting solution that met their new requirements perfectly, but was also a cost-efficient approach that made great use of the existing lifting resources onsite.
Pelloby were able to not only design the new gantry steelwork to meet Anglian’s requirements, but also oversaw the transportation and final commissioning of the new beam.
